On May 17, 2023, at GBF Bespoke Balloons and Event Services, we had the honor of bringing a taste of Wisconsin, specifically Milwaukee, to the heart of Chicago. This event, called “Wisconsin In Chicago Day,” was a collaborative effort involving us, various tourist centers from Wisconsin, and Visit Milwaukee (Visit Milwaukee, 2023).
We are celebrated for our innovative and captivating balloon displays. For this event, we created simple but vibrant balloon flowers. They definitely added some color to the beautiful Great Hall at Chicago’s Union Station. Within the Great Hall, Visit Milwaukee created a spirited and lively atmosphere that Wisconsin is known for (Visit Milwaukee, 2023).
In addition to our balloon creations, we set up a fun photo booth featuring a shimmering silver backdrop adorned with our colorful balloon flowers. This gave attendees a delightful way to capture their memories from the day, essentially bringing a piece of the event—and a bit of Wisconsin—back home with them (Visit Milwaukee, 2023).
“Wisconsin In Chicago Day” was a true testament to teamwork and collaboration. Along with our partners, various tourist centers from across Wisconsin, and Visit Milwaukee, we aimed to highlight the unique allure of our state. The Great Hall was transformed into a lively beer garden, with comfortable chairs, string lights, and games. We were also pleased to feature performances by talented Milwaukee artists and learn more about local Native American History and Dance. Attendees enjoyed complimentary snacks and beverages sourced from Wisconsin, adding an authentic touch to the experience (Visit Milwaukee, 2023).
We believe this event was an important step in building stronger connections between the residents of Chicago and Wisconsin. With everyone’s unique and informative displays and the joint efforts of all participants, we successfully showcased the appeal of Milwaukee and Wisconsin.
